The Mount Holyoke Fund invites all head class agents, class agents, and Cornerstone chairs from the classes of 2015 through 1956 and FPs (excluding 50th reunion cycle volunteers) to the Volunteer Conference. Programming for Mount Holyoke Fund volunteers begins on Friday, September 18 at 2 pm and concludes with dinner on Saturday, September 19. Volunteers who are unable to attend Friday programming are welcome to attend Saturday only.

Conference Programming

At the Volunteer Conference, Mount Holyoke Fund volunteers will learn about new happenings at the College and in The Mount Holyoke Fund; collect tools to use in philanthropic work for MHC and other organizations; network and brainstorm with other alumnae, volunteers, faculty, staff, and students; and plan and get motivated for the 2015–2016 fiscal year! This year’s conference will feature a Saturday morning keynote workshop on “The Philanthropy Formula” by Susan Lowenthal Axelrod ’84, an experienced fundraising executive, consultant, and coach.

“What will your legacy be?” Asking this simple question launched Susan Lowenthal Axelrod’s career as a motivational speaker, a philanthropy advisor, and now a personal fundraising coach to nonprofit CEOs via her business Confident Fundraising. She teaches clients to find their own philanthropic passion first and then translates that feeling into effective and productive fundraising strategies. Drawing on her thirty years of experience in the field of fundraising, she helps nonprofit CEOs and anyone engaged in raising funds for a worthy mission to create a loyal corps of lifelong donors. What is more fun than offering someone an opportunity to create meaningful change in our world? Susan is a proud Mount Holyoke alumna, class of 1984, and a proud Mount Holyoke daughter—her mother, Therese Albach Lowenthal, is a member of the class of 1956.
