Registration and Fees

We are keeping the fee structure simple and offering one three-day weekend package for everyone, which includes events from the evening of Friday, October 6 to noon on Sunday, October 8, 2017, and the following meals: Friday evening cocktails, Friday dinner, Saturday coffee breaks and buffet lunch, Saturday evening gala dinner and drinks, and Sunday coffee.
- Three-day weekend package for alumnae who graduated in 2007 or earlier: €175*
- Three-day weekend package for alumnae who graduated in 2008 or later (within the last ten years) as well as current MHC students: €110*
- Three-day weekend package for guests of alumnae, MHC faculty, and staff: €175*
*Registration fees increase by €50 after August 18, 2017.
Important notes: Please scroll down this webpage for information about financial assistance and special awards. Symposium registration fees do not include hotel accommodation. You will need to book hotel accommodation separately.

Accepted Forms of Payment
- Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Credit card security code from the back of the credit card is required to complete registration.
- A fee of €20 will be charged on cancellations prior to July 15, 2017. From July 15 to August 30, 2017, a fee of 50 percent will be charged on cancellations. After August 30, 2017, no refunds will be given.
Financial Assistance and Awards
The European Alumnae Council is able to offer financial assistance to a limited number of alumnae who may not be able to attend otherwise due to financial hardship. Financial assistance covers the registration fee and an allowance of a maximum of €100 for travel, if needed. Please note that assistance towards travel costs will be given in person at the symposium as reimbursement.
Requests for a financial assistance application form should be made to the chair of the European Council at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to registration. Please mark email requests “Riga Financial Assistance.” Subject to funds being available, applications may be accepted up to July 30. You are encouraged to apply before this date. Completed forms will be treated in strict confidence.
Please note: Young alumnae should take into consideration that they are already being awarded a discount of €65. Financial assistance is for extraordinary circumstances only.
European Alumnae 30th Anniversary Awards for Students
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Mount Holyoke alumnae activities in Europe, the European Alumnae Council is able to offer two or more awards to Mount Holyoke junior or senior students (graduating classes of ’18 or ’19) studying in Europe in the 2017–2018 academic year. The awards consist of free registration to the symposium and a monetary contribution of €100 toward travel costs to Latvia. Please note that assistance toward travel costs will be given in person at the symposium as reimbursement. Applicants must submit their request supported by a short statement (max. 200 words) elaborating on the following statement: “A Mount Holyoke education is a key to the world: my experience.” The final selection will be made by the officers of the European Council. The winners will be honored during the Saturday gala dinner in Riga and their winning essays will be published.
Applications for this scholarship must be made to the European Council at email@example.com prior to registration. Please mark email requests “30th Anniversary Awards” and apply by July 30 at the latest.
