What exactly is The Lynk?
The Lynk is an essential part of Mount Holyoke’s promise to prepare students to face the future with confidence by enabling them to identify strengths, explore career possibilities, articulate learning outcomes, and network with successful professionals via four elements embedded within the undergraduate years: Goal Setting, Professional Development, Practical Experience, and The Launch.
We hope to expand scholarship funds for academically talented students and provide paid internships for each and every Mount Holyoke student. —Lynn Pasquerella ’80
Lynk: On the Road
Each semester, students embark on trips in which they explore various career paths, network with professionals in the field, participate in classes and group activities, and become inspired.
A group of twenty-five students traveled to Washington, DC, for two days in March to meet with alumnae for the kick-off event, which featured a keynote address by Naomi Barry-Peréz ’96, director of civil rights for the US Department of Labor, and talks given by Leocadia I. Zak ’79, director of the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), and Amy Celico ’91, a partner of Albright Stonebridge Group, a private strategic advisory and commercial diplomacy firm.
#MtHolyokeAtWork
Over the past year, students and alumnae followed the Twitter hashtag #MtHolyokeAtWork once a month as an MHC alumna tweeted about her day, gave advice and information about her career, and answered questions from followers. From a documentary filmmaker to a literary editor to a city council member to a web developer, the careers of alumnae tweeters ran the gamut. How do I get involved?
The best way to participate is to join the Career Network and the Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College LinkedIn group and keep your contact information and professional profile up to date. We ask you to join both groups so that students and alumnae can target searches in the Career Network and then follow-up via LinkedIn for additional career details and conversation.

What about career resources for alumnae?
We continue to develop alumnae-to-alumnae networking opportunities and offer a variety of resources depending on your career trajectory and interests. For example, the MHC Career Development Center offers access to online databases for career exploration and self-assessment.
