Farewell Rochelle

On June 6, Alumnae Association staff said goodbye to executive director W. Rochelle Calhoun ’83, who announced her resignation in February.  Calhoun’s five-year tenure was marked by an extraordinary period of growth for the association.  Committed to inclusivity and member service, she worked hard to create new opportunities for alumnae advancement and to strengthen a collaborative relationship with the College.  She spearheaded new initiatives and programs for international alumnae, transforming the association into a truly global organization.  Calhoun was awarded the Alumnae Medal of Honor on May 24 for her exceptional contributions to the Alumnae Association and the College.  The Alumnae Association board has begun a search for a new executive director; click here to find out more.

Final year for AA president

Beginning June 30, Mary Graham Davis ’65 enters her third and final year as president of the Alumnae Association. The Nominating Committee has begun its triennial task of selecting the next president to lead the Alumnae Association. The committee strongly encourages alumnae to participate by recommending qualified candidates. More…

Laurel Chain Survey

 We want your feedback

For the last three years, the monthly e-newsletter of the Alumnae Association, the award-winning Laurel Chain, has brought up-to-the-minute news about the alumnae community to Mount Holyoke alums around the world. Interested in international alumnae perspectives on global events?  Check out “I-Witness.”  Curious about who’s been featured in the news this month? "MHC Alumnae in the Media” will fill you in on alumnae TV appearances, radio interviews, and news stories.  Looking for a new job?  Find tips, advice, and career guidance in “Cori’s Career Corner.”  You can also catch up with your classmates via “Class Notes,” and find out about the latest student-alumnae events on campus in “Student Reporter Beat.”

But even success needs regular updating (just ask Google), and that’s where you come in.  We’d like to know what’s working for you, what you’d like more (or less) of, and what new ideas you’d like to see.  Please take our five-minute survey.  When you complete the survey, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a beautiful class animal coffee mug in your class color.  The survey deadline is June 30. During the months of July and August the Laurel Chain will suspend publication while we review your feedback. We look forward to returning in September with a new fall issue. Thank you for your help--and enjoy your summer!
