More than 100 alumnae, students, and special guests came back to campus on a beautiful fall weekend for “Teaching, Learning, Leading: A Mount Holyoke College Summit on Education” October 10-12. The conference, designed for K-12 and college alumnae educators, featured lively workshops, discussions, guest speakers, and panels on current issues in education.

Mount Holyoke alumna Helen Gannon Drinan ’69, a well-known leader in healthcare, civic, and business circles, recently became president of Simmons College in Boston, a women’s college recently named as one of the nation’s “great schools for education majors” by Princeton Review.

Coming in November: Alumnae Conversation about Eldercare
We’re all aging, and a growing number of us are taking care of older loved ones. The fall Alumnae Quarterly article “The Coming of Age: Changes and Challenges in Eldercare” by Emily Dietrich ’85 is chock-full of alumnae advice about this important issue. Starting November 1, Dietrich will host an online discussion for alumnae about eldercare issues at alumnae.mtholyoke.edu/go/eldercare. Mark your calendar now to visit the site in November.
