Greetings from the Alumnae Association’s new Executive Director: Preparation and Celebration
For most of us, December is a month of preparation and celebration. We each have our own annual traditions that we observe and share with family and friends: Chanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa to name a few. And it wouldn’t be December if we weren’t also making plans for celebrating the past year and ringing in the new one. More

Online Class Notes
Our new “comments” feature is a hit, making online class notes more timely, informative, and personal than ever. Now you can not only check out new photos and get the latest updates on your friends, you can also leave a message of your own right after her class note. Want to send her congratulations about her new job/baby/book/government appointment? Want to tell her about yours? The “comments” feature lets you respond directly to your classmate—and lets you see the messages of other friends who have left notes. Go to online class notes to get the latest.

Alumnae Fellowships:
Don’t just dream about it. Get funding for it

Did you know that you can apply for fellowship money through the Alumnae Association? If you graduated from MHC (or will graduate in ’09), you’re eligible. Every year, we award generous fellowships to selected alumnae of all ages. Our top award—the Mary E. Woolley Fellowship—puts $7,500 in the pocket of a talented alum pursuing graduate study or independent research. Other awards provide up to $3,000 for innovative alumnae projects. Click here for a brochure and application. Or contact Carrie Purcell at 413-538-2188 or catwood@mtholyoke.edu to request a brochure and application by mail. Do it soon; the deadline is February 15!

Looking for more funding opportunities? The Career Development Center scholarship and fellowship Web pages have information on hundreds of award opportunities. Find out more...
