Lady Clare Traditional English Placemats and Coasters - the Perfect Gift
We are delighted to present the new, exclusive Lady Clare Traditional English Placemats and Coasters featuring some of the best views of our beautiful College campus.
The well-known English company Lady Clare Limited was first created in 1932 by Lady Clare Pigott for dinner parties at the British Embassy in Paris to save on laundry bills for stiff white tablecloths. These unique and charming placemats were an instant success.
Of the highest quality, each placemat and coaster is finished with a hardwearing lacquer and is heatproof to 212 degrees F. The excellent craftmanship is reflected in the elegantly fitted green felt backing, set off by a dark green border, fine gold trim, and exquisite hand gilded edges, all delicately framing bright, evocative portraits of the Mount Holyoke campus, including Mary Lyon Hall, the Field Memorial Gate, the Library and the Chapel.
