SUMMARY:European Council Symposium (Leuven\, Belgium)
DESCRIPTION:Our next alumnae gathering in this charming university city will feature a range of thought-provoking lectures and cultural events\, offering participants the opportunity to experience different aspects of Belgian culture. \nCultural workshops on Friday will include a tour of  Brussels and Leuven\, as well as a visit to the Stella Artois brewery and a chocolate making workshop. The official kick-off of the Symposium will take place during the festive reception hosted by the Mayor of Leuven at City Hall\, one of the best-known Gothic town halls worldwide. \nThe Saturday conference will be held at the Leuven University Library and will focus on the evolution of the power of Europe and of the European Union and its influence on different areas of society and world developments. Learn more here.

DESCRIPTION:Pumpkins and Wine!\nSaturday\, October 3\, 2015\nFirst\, visiting Butler’s Orchard\, 22200 Davis Mill Road Germantown MD for their Pumpkin Festival. Event fee is $11.00.  Pumpkin picking\, activities\, and food. Event from 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.\, but we’ll gather at noon. Click here for more info. \nHearty souls can continue to Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard\, 18125 Comus Road\, Dickerson\, Maryland 20842 for their 2015 Grape Stomp. $15 admission and $10 tastings\, food and music.
