SUMMARY:Club of Atlanta Beltline Tour (Atlanta\, GA)
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a Saturday morning for an Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Walking Tour led by a Trees Atlanta Docent. The tour will provide an up-close view of the Eastside Trail and the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum. The tour steps off at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 11:30 a.m. at the new Ponce City Market. We will walk along an even-grade and paved trail for about one mile. We will follow up with informal gathering for brunch together at the Food Hall at Ponce City Market. The tour starts in Inman Park in downtown Atlanta. \nThe tour is free\, but reservations are required. We will register as a group\, and it is OK to bring a companion. \nArrival time: 9:45 a.m.\nStart Location: 240 N. DESCRIPTION:Have you ever encountered any conflict in your life? If so\, you’ll want to join us on November 14 to hear MHC Professor Karen Remmler’s talk entitled “Women’s Role in Transforming Conflict Worldwide.” Remmler is professor of German students\, critical social thought\, and gender studies at Mount Holyoke. From 2011 to 2014 she served as director of the Five College Women’s Studies Research Center\, an international center for collaborative work in feminist scholarship\, teaching\, and activism. \nThis is a joint program between Mount Holyoke College\, Smith College\, and Simmons College. \nRSVP to Georgia Walters and for more information please contact Suzanne Janney\, program chair.
