DESCRIPTION:Join the Mount Holyoke Club of Chicago for the second Mary Lyon Concert: Of Courage and Freedom. Director of Orchestral Studies and Assistant Professor of Music Ng Tian Hui has pioneered a new concert series and taken the Mount Holyoke Symphony Orchestra on tour beyond the Northeast. \nLast year’s inaugural Mary Lyon Concert took place in DC. This January\, they’re heading to Chicago. The club invites you to for an afternoon of music that celebrates and discusses diversity\, unity\, and freedom. The program features music exclusively by women composers\, including two world premieres—one by Karen LeFrak ’69. \nPurchase tickets here. Individual ticket prices range from $5 to $50.
