Math encompasses tools and techniques for modeling and solving real-world problems. DESCRIPTION:Join the class of 1964 for a mini-reunion in New York City around the Vespers concert. This very special MHC tradition is in its seventy-ninth year. Over one-hundred singers and musicians travel from campus to march in a candlelight procession and perform a holiday concert. The concert is held at St. Bartholomew’s\, a magnificent Byzantine Romanesque church at Park Avenue and 51st Street. \nLily Klebanoff Blake is organizing the following events: \n\nFriday\, December 5: Dinner at a restaurant near St. Bartholomew’s\, followed by the 8 p.m. Vespers concert\nSaturday\, December 6: Visit the Neue Galerie\, a museum devoted to Austrian and German art\, housed in a landmarked mansion on 5th Avenue. See an exhibit of portraits by Egon Schiele\, and the magnificent golden Klimt painting of Adele Bloch-Bauer. DESCRIPTION:Join the MHC Club of Central Ohio for their Fall 2014 Meeting. At the meeting\, you’ll be assembling “care packages” for our area students on campus\, and write notes of support and encouragement to tuck in the boxes. Light refreshments will be served. \nThere are currently seven students from the greater Columbus area on campus\, so please bring seven of some small item—anything a student might find useful\, comforting\, or fun as she studies for finals. Suggestions: granola/protein bars\, lip balms\, mini packs of tissues\, travel-size hand lotion or sanitizer\, gum\, mints\, candy bars\, highlighter pens\, single-serve anything\, microwave popcorn\, tea bags\, cocoa mix. Please don’t spend more than about a dollar per item\, and think small—it holds down the cost of postage!
