The Inauguration of Sonya Stephens as Mount Holyoke’s 19th president is a historic moment. Alumnae may participate in the celebration and show their support of the College’s mission in the following ways: 

From your home

  • Watch a livestream of the faculty and alumnae panels:
    • 9:30 a.m. EST: Faculty panel
      “Making Change, Making Knowledge, Maker Culture”
      Moderated by Jon Western, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty
    • 11 a.m. EST: Alumnae panel
      Showcasing three alumnae entrepreneurs
      Moderated by Eva Paus, professor of economics and director of the McCullouch Center for Global Initiatives
  • Watch a livestream of the Inauguration ceremony at 3 p.m. EST

Information about watching the ceremony and the panels will be posted as it becomes available.

On campus

  • 9 a.m to 3 p.m.: Stop by the alumnae welcome tent on Pageant Green (the lawn below Gettell Amphitheater near Lower Lake) hosted by the Alumnae Association and the Office of Advancement. We will be available to answer any questions you may have. Light refreshments will be served. 
  • Participate in one or both of the panels in Gamble Auditorium:
    • 9:30 a.m.: Faculty panel
      “Making Change, Making Knowledge, Maker Culture”
      Moderated by Jon Western, vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty
    • 11 a.m.: Alumnae panel
      Showcasing alumnae entrepreneurs
      Moderated by Eva Paus, professor of economics and director of the McCullouch Center for Global Initiatives
  • 10–11:30 a.m.: Tour the new Dining Commons. 
  • Tour the Art Museum at 11:15 a.m. or 1 p.m. An exhibit by Joan Jonas ’58 is currently on view.
