On the wall of Kendade Hall’s Marion Craig Potter Atrium, where these beautiful and historic barometers are displayed, a sign reads: “The instruments, which date from ca. 1690 to ca. 1860, were completely conserved and put into accurate working order in 2003-2004 by James Moss, a Massachusetts scientific conservator and master clockmaker.” Photos by James Gehrt
