MHC Students Show Support for Victims of the Nepal Earthquake
Students at Mount Holyoke College held a community vigil following the April 25 earthquake that devastated Nepal during which they raised more than $1,300 that they will donate to charities assisting in the relief effort.
Currently, more than twenty Nepalese students attend Mount Holyoke and approximately thirty alumnae live in the country.
In addition, Anisha Baidya ’16 andGabrielle Crimi ’15 are spearheading a sanitary napkin drive for victims of the disaster. Students returning to Nepal in late May will deliver the supplies and work with a local NGO to distribute them.
