Club of New York Women’s History Exhibition Private Tour (New York, New York)

February 27, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Celebrate Mary Lyon’s birthday and women’s history with a private tour of the special exhibition Women Take the Lead: From Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Eleanor Roosevelt, Suffrage to Human Rights. This incredible collection features 22 extremely rare suffragette posters dating from the 1912 Presidential election year, along with other artifacts from the decades-long women’s suffrage moment.

Roosevelt House was the New York City home of President Franklin D. and Eleanor Roosevelt from 1905-1941. It was in this house that President Roosevelt asked Frances Perkins to become secretary of labor, and the first female cabinet member.
