Hortense Parker Celebration (South Hadley, MA)

The 2016 Hortense Parker Celebration honors the first known student of color to graduate from Mount Holyoke College. Each year, Mount Holyoke College honors Hortense Parker through a celebration of reflective words and performing arts from various students, faculty, staff, and surrounding community members.

This year’s keynote speaker is Zowie Banteah, founder of the Zowie Banteah Cultural Center for Indigenous Communities.

This event is sponsored by the SGA Students of Color Committee, Office of Advancement, Weissman Center, and Cultural Centers.
