Mary Lyon Brunch (Chicago)
February 23, 2014 @ 10:30 am
The MHC club of Chicago will host two annual Mary Lyon brunches on Sunday, February 23.
CITY EDITION: Welcome to Waffle-thon! Last year, we had pancakes. This year we’ll try out our waffle iron. (Any master wafflers, please raise your hand, as Elizabeth will only provide the batter and the iron and let you all do your thing. She is not a Master Waffler. Also if you have an extra iron, that would probably cut down on wait time for waffles.) We’ll have some gluten free quiche, too, for those of you who want protein. We will provide: syrups, tea, coffee, and milk.
Please bring: Yourselves! Juice, beverages of your choice (we’ll make one big pot of non-decaf), food, especially your favorite waffle toppings, and the stories of your winter. If you would like bacon or sausage with your waffle, please bring your own and Elizabeth will provide cooking tools. Babies and kids are welcome. The dog Bob will be at his grandmother’s house.
RSVP: Space is limited, so please RSVP to Tamar Westphal ’12 to reserve your spot and to receive the address: westp20t@mtholyoke.edu
SUBURB EDITION: Join your fellow alumnae for a morning of food, conversation, and fun!
Please bring the following based on your last name:
A-M: Savory (quiche, eggs, breakfast meats, etc.)
N-Z: Sweet (fruit, muffins, etc.)
RSVP: Please RSVP to Holly at hollyhirst@sbcglobal.net or 708-203-6437 (no voicemail – text or by phone only) by
