MHC Berlin Group: Screening of documentary “Beyond Punishment”

The MHC Alumnae Group in Berlin cordially invites alumnae to an event that will lead them onto ‘uncommon’ moral ground. On November 12, 2015, alumna Annett Zupke will introduce fellow alumnae to the concept of ‘restorative justice’ in a screening of the documentary Beyond Punishment. This documentary probes an unconventional path to reconciliation and forgiveness by bringing together convicted murderers with the bereaved. A professional mediator, Annett provided advisory support to the director and conducted interviews with both criminals and the bereaved. For example, over a period of nine months, she sought to establish a connection between a father who lost his daughter and the ex-boyfriend who killed her. If you want to find out about the outcome of this experiment, join us for the screening of the documentary at my place on November 12, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The screening will be followed by a discussion. There will be drinks, snacks, and a cake.
