“Pathetic Fallacy” is a farcical tragicomedy about Julie, a hyper-sensitive Catholic school girl, whose family is glued together by lies. Julie is trying to write a terrific novel about her awful parents, but they and everybody else get in the way, including her needy English teacher, her brothers: monastery dropout Troy and poor dead little Ed – not to mention Julie herself, who discovers she’s attracted to girls. But when she uncovers her parents’ secret, she gains the courage to push through to a mostly happy ending.
Following the reading, join us for a talkback with playwright Carla Tomaso and the actors. Refreshments will be provided.
