“Pathetic Fallacy” is a farcical tragicomedy about Julie, a hyper-sensitive Catholic school girl, whose family is glued together by lies. Julie is trying to write a terrific novel about her awful parents, but they and everybody else get in the way, including her needy English teacher, her brothers: monastery dropout Troy and poor dead little Ed – not to mention Julie herself, who discovers she’s attracted to girls. But when she uncovers her parents’ secret, she gains the courage to push through to a mostly happy ending.

Following the reading, join us for a talkback with playwright Carla Tomaso and the actors. Refreshments will be provided.

Produced by Celebration Theatre as part of their series, “Celebrating New Works,” and the city of West Hollywood as part of their “One City, One Pride” event.

Co-hosted by Cal Alumni of LA, Ivy Pride Alliance, Stanford Pride, Brown TBGALA, Cornell GALA, Harvard GSC, Penn GALA, UCLA Lambda, U Chicago LGBT Alumni Group, IvyQ, and FFR/Princeton BTGALA
