A Day at Seagrove with MHC Professor Christopher Benfey, author of the acclaimed book Red Brick, Black Mountain, White Clay: Reflections on Art, Family, and Survival, with special guests, North Carolina potter, Mark Hewitt, and pottery expert UNC professor, Terry Zug.

10:30 – 11:00 am Pottery demonstration with potter Chad Brown
11:00 – 12 noon Private tour of the NC Pottery Center
12 – 1:30 Box lunch and campus update with MHC Professor Chris Benfey
1:30 – 2:30 pm “Exploring NC Pottery” – Remarks by Prof. Chris Benfey, in conversation with NC potter Mark Hewitt and UNC Prof. Terry Zug. Open to public. Book signing to follow.
