Mary Lyon Award Winner, Lisa R. Nonken ’03
Lisa R. Nonken ’03 is the recipient of this year’s Mary Lyon Award. The award honors an alumna who graduated no more than fifteen years ago and who has demonstrated sustained achievement in her life and career consistent with the humane values that Mary Lyon exemplified and inspired in others. Nonken is an artist working in sculpture, photography, and drawing. She has achieved rare recognition, receiving the Roger T. Williams Prize from the National Sculpture Society and several prestigious residencies and grants. She is currently the academic director and professor of fine arts at the Siena Art Institute in Siena, Italy.
