Margaret Ball, class of 1900, was meticulous in keeping track of her student expenses, as seen here in this ledger from her student days in the late 1800s. No doubt she later called on the same skills when she became the founding editor of the Alumnae Quarterly in 1917.

This article appeared as “A Detailed Account” in the fall 2018 issue of the Alumnae Quarterly.
